President de la Torre attends SDSU Georgia Convocation Ceremony 2018 in Tbilisi
On September 19 (14:30 – 16:30), San Diego State University (SDSU) in Georgia will host the official Convocation Ceremony to mark the start of the new academic year and accept new students to its programs.
The ceremony will be attended by the 9th permanent President of SDSU, Dr. Adela de la Torre. The President will address freshmen and congratulate them on beginning of their college career. The event will be also attended by the Vice Prime-Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Maya Tskitishvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport – Mikheil Batiashvili, U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires – Elizabeth Rood, Millennium Challenge Corporation Chief Operating Officer – Jonathan Nash, and Millennium Challenge Account – Georgia Chief Executive Officer – Magda Magradze. President de la Torre and a delegation of SDSU Deans from the Colleges of Science and Engineering will be special guests of the event.
