International Symposium “Romanticism in Literature: On the Crossroad of Epochs and Cultures”
On September 27, at 11 am, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, will hold a symposium “Romanticism in Literature: On the Crossroad of Epochs and Cultures” dedicated to the 200th birth anniversary of Georgian poet Nikoloz Baratashvili.
The symposium will be held on the sidelines of the UNESCO events. In connection with the poet’s anniversary, UNESCO declared 2017 as the Year of Nikoloz Baratashvili.
Over 130 scientists from various countries (17 countries, including France, Japan, USA, Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Turkey, Iran), as well as representatives of various university and research centers from Tbilisi and regions will take part in the symposium.
