Public Lecture “American Values on the Screen: Georgian Film – A Woman from a Market”

On November 21, at 1pm, the Film Club and the Institute of American Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will jointly organize a public lecture by Oliko Zhgenti on a topic “American Values on the Screen: Georgian Film – A Woman from a Market” (1928).  

The first film version of the 1924 play ‘Desire Under the Elms’ written by Eugene ONeill, an American playwright, Nobel and Pulitzer Prize laureate, will be shown.
