Public Lecture by German Psychoanalyst Horst Kächele at TSU
On October 27, at 5pm, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will host a public lecture by German Psychoanalyst, Professor Horst Kächele “The Three Pillars of Wisdom.” The lecture will be dedicated to the issues related to the theory and practice of psychoanalysis.
A presentation of Georgian translation of a psychoanalytical textbook by Professor Horst Kächele will be held at the event. Khatuna Ivanishvili, psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, member of the International Psychoanalytical Association, is the editor of the book.
Deputy Rector of TSU, Mikheil Chkhenkeli; Dean of the TSU Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Tamar Gagoshidze; book reviewer, Professor Marine Chitashvili; translator Mzia Galdavadze, co-author of the book, psychoanalyst Andreas Bilger will attend the event.
Horst Kächele is a Specialist in Psychotherapeutic Medicine and a psychoanalyst (IPA). He is Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology at International Psychoanalytic University Berlin; Freud and Sigourney Award winner. Dr. Kächele is the author of many publications; his publications are dedicated to psychoanalytical process and its consequences; somatopsychic processes and nutritional disorders; he has conducted clinical research in attachment and neurobiology. Dr. Kächele is co-author with Helmut Thomä of a three volume textbook, Lehrbuch der Psychoanalytischen Therapeie, for which the both have been granted the Sigourney Award.
