International Conference on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics

On July 16, at 10:30, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will host an opening of the International Conference on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Professor Gvanji Mania, a prominent Georgian statistician and founder of the Georgian school of probability theory and mathematical statistics. Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, Georgian and foreign scientists, as well as invited guests will attend the opening event.

Scientists working in the field of probability theory and mathematical statistics from the United States, Germany, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Holland, Uzbekistan, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Armenia, Israel and Lithuania will participate in the conference.

The anniversary event is organized by the Department of Mathematics of TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences; A. Razmadze Mathematical Institute; Georgian Technical University; Muskhelishvili Institute of Computational Mathematics and Georgian Statistical Association.
