The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the High School of Justice signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on November 6 to further promote students’ professional development.
The memorandum was signed by Vice Rector of the Tbilisi State University, Academician Levan Aleksidze and Director of the High School of Justice, Lasha Magradze.
According to the memorandum, the High School of Justice offers TSU to organize public lectures in different fields of law; the parties will also implement joint educational programs to promote students’ professional development.
Vice Rector Levan Aleksidze said: “The memorandum enables us to move to a new stage and jointly implement practical and theoretical measures. The proposal offered by the High School of Justice is very interesting and we are ready to provide intellectual resource to them. Our students will attend the lectures delivered by this school. Today we offer different programs to our students, but this initiative will be yet another fruitful step and I hope that it will justify itself.”
“Improving the quality of higher education is one of the key challenges in Georgian reality. Just to settle this problem, the High School of Justice has signed memorandums with leading educational institutions. In frames of these memorandums, lecturers from the High School of Justice, who simultaneously are incumbent judges, will deliver lectures to law students. It is worth noting that by this, the High School of Justice will promote legal awareness of students and deepen their practical knowledge; I am sure that the school will make a significant contribution to students’ professional development,” Director of the High School of Justice, Lasha Magradze said.
The High School of Justice has already signed similar memorandums with 10 more universities accredited in Georgia.
