A presentation of the project Support of Local and Regional Communities for Protecting and Developing Cultural Heritage (LoRDeP) was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on October 12.
The representatives of the Council of Europe, University of Saint Etienne, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of TSU, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia participated in the event.
“We are implementing the project together with the University of Saint Etienne. Several students were selected from our faculty, who will be engaged in the research together with their French counterparts and professors,” Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Tamar Dolbaia said.
The event was organized by the Council of Europe, the University of Saint Etienne and the TSU Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
The presentation is an introduction to a workshop planned in Georgia on October 12-16. The workshop stems from the Georgian government’s initiative to apply the 2016-2017 Georgia-Council of Europe Action Plan to territorial development projects, which will become the basis for the development of local and regional projects.
