State Council of Heraldry to Work on TSU Symbols
The State Council of Heraldry at the Parliament of Georgia and the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, according to which the State Council of Heraldry will develop the designs of the flag and coat of arms of TSU. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava and Chairman of the State Council of Heraldry Eldar Shengelaia signed the memorandum.
TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said that “it is very important for our university to have officially approved symbols. The State Council of Heraldry will create the designs and the university society will choose the best ones.”
“We have a long relationship with the Tbilisi State University in the sphere of heraldry. By signing the memorandum we launch a new stage in our relationship. We will work over a new flag and coat of arms of the university. The anthem of the university will also be created,” Chairman of the State Council of Heraldry Eldar Shengelaia said.
According to the memorandum, the sides will exchange information and relevant materials, also inform each other about all interesting novelties.
