TSU Futsal Team Becomes Winner

The futsal team of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) has won its fourth Cup of the Georgian University Sports Federation. TSU Futsal defeated the team of the Georgian National University 1:0 in the final match, with the only goal being scored by Nikoloz Kurtanidze. The latter was recognized as the best footballer of the championship. Nikoloz Pkhakadze, a footballer from TSU, was named as the best goalkeeper.   
 
The final match of the Georgian University Sports Federation Cup in futsal was held in the new Sports Palace on December 26. The teams from the Tbilisi State University and the Georgian National University faced each other. During the semi-final on December 19, the TSU team defeated the Grigol Robakidze University 11:0.

The 2016 futsal championship started on October 25 and 29 universities participated in it.
