TSU to Finance Studies for Successful PhD Students
The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) will finance the studies of successful PhD students. The relevant Order has been issued by TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava.
The studies of five successful PhD students from each of the seven faculties will be financed according to their academic performance. Candidates will be selected and assessed by the faculty councils or the committees set up by the councils under the established rules and on the basis of academic production qualification.
The university funding will not be allocated to PhD students enrolled for an additional semester; PhD students, whose tuition during the previous semester has not been covered in full, and PhD students with suspended status.
The Order of the Rector on financing the studies for successful PhD students is based on the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, General Administrative Code of Georgia, Order of the Minister of Education and Science dated September 11, 2013 and the Statutes of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
