Presentation of 5th Edition of TSU Science
A presentation of the 5th edition of a scientific journal TSU Science was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, journal editorial board, authors and academic staff attended the presentation.
The scientific journal TSU Science reflects the current scientific processes at the university to let the public know about the important research studies underway at TSU in the fields of humanities, exact and natural sciences, law and economy, etc.
TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said during the presentation: “This is a popular scientific journal oriented to a broad circle of readers. TSU Science provides information about the scientific activities carried out at the university and all the achievements in this direction. Our leading scientists are among the members of the editorial board. I suppose that the journal will be very interesting for the students of our university too.”
“We tried to focus on those research studies ongoing at the university, which are internationally recognized and which have obtained various international grants. Diverse topics discussed in the journal are interesting not only for scientists and researchers, but for general public as well,” Tamar Khorbaladze, editor of TSU Science, said.
TSU Professor Rismag Gordeziani said: “This journal reinforces the idea that science is important for the university. Various research studies described in it are extremely interesting and it is important that the society gets information about them.”
The 5th edition of TSU Science discusses a large variety of issues, including: Georgian Mamluks in Egypt and Georgian Monastery Commune in Palestine; Platonic Traditions and Georgia; Ethnology – A Discipline for Resolving; Georgian School System’s Enormous Challenges; the Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Mental Disorders; Social Media Development Trends in Georgia; Laser Thermonuclear Synthesis; Cellular Mechanisms of Parenchymal Organ Regeneration; Evaluating the Possibilities for Methane Extraction from Tkibuli-Shaori Coal Seams; American Experience for the Development of Tourism in Georgia; Georgian Food Security Strategy in the Context of Globalization; Challenges of Social Marketing in Georgia; Cognitive Aspects of the Practical Existence of Law; Hyperthermia – an Effective Method of Treating Oncological Diseases; Treatment of Damaged Cardiac Muscle; TSU High Energy Physics Institute and Current Challenges; Vakhushti Bagrationi Institute of Geography at TSU, etc.
TSU Science is a bilingual (Georgian-English) journal and is issued twice a year. Its goal is to provide both researchers and general public with information about ongoing research studies.
