Workshop for Students – Second Language Teaching/Acquisition in the Context of Multilingual Education

A thematic workshop for students will be held on February 15-17 within the framework of an international conference Second Language Teaching/Acquisition in the Context of Multilingual Education. Foreign and Georgian specialists will deliver lectures about the strategies and methods of second language teaching/acquisition.

Working language: Georgian and English

The 12-hour workshop will last for three days (four hours per day).

Workshop topics:
Multilingual Education: theories and practices;
-Aspects of Intercultural Education;
Second/Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Strategies;
Integrating language and content in the language classroom;
Distance/Online Teaching and Multimedia and Second Language Teaching/Acquisition;
Language Policy Planning and its Importance from the prospective of Multicultural Education and Second Language Teaching.

Students will make presentations on the last day of the workshop, February 17. The presentation topics will be selected in the course of the workshop, based on student interests. Successful participants will be awarded certificates.
