TSU Still Leader in Grant Competitions

The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is still a leader in grant competitions announced by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.

In frames of the presidential grant contest for young scientists, a total of 68 projects were financed with 23 projects belonging to MA and PhD students from TSU. It is about 38% of the financed projects with a total budget amounting to GEL 317 610.

The results of the competition are as follows: Georgian Technical University – 10 projects; Ilia State University – 10 projects; Agrarian University – 4 projects and Tbilisi State Medical University – 2 projects.

Meanwhile, TSU is also leading in the projects financed in frames of the program on promoting higher educational institutions announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. A total of eight projects (a total budget of GEL 310 700) were financed with four belonging to TSU (a total budget of GEL 144 958).

The results of the competition are as follows: Ilia State University – 2 projects; Tbilisi State Medical University – 1 project and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University – 1 project.
