Success of TSU Documentary “Akaki Shanidze” at International Film Festival
A documentary “Akaki Shanidze” shot at the Cinema and Television Arts Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University was awarded St Andrews Cross at the International Festival of Orthodox Films held in Tbilisi on October 18-23.
The 50-minute film was made within the framework of the project “They Created the University” and with the support of the President’s Reserve Fund.
The following persons worked on the film: Irakli Solomonashvili, Zaza Jgarkava, Imeda Tetradze, Nino Gelovani, Merab Vachnadze. Iza TiTberidze is the project author. Prof. Merab Kokochishvili, head of the TSU Cinema and Television Arts Depatrment, is the artistic director of the project.
