Final Task of Mission 2018 – Student Competition in Marketing and PR

The finalists of student competition Mission 2018 of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University have received the tasks of the second round.

The representatives of five finalist teams visited the construction company AS Georgia Dirsi, where they were showed around the complex. The company representatives gave the contestants their final tasks, which should be performed specifically for Dirsi within a month.  

Ketevan Pachulia, PR manager at AS Georgia Dirsi, said that the final task was related to Dirsi’s summer city concept. “We plan a lot of events in Dirsi this summer. We would like to listen to students’ creative ideas in this connection. We, as a partner company, promise that their participation in this project will be interesting. We would like to ensure that relations with us are as much fruitful for students as possible,” she noted.

In the process of working on their final tasks, contestants will attend workshops and individual consultations arranged specifically for them. TSU Project Manager, Nino Kalandia said that in early June, contestants will submit their presentations to the jury and struggle for victory. “We received very interesting projects during the first round. I hope that our students will reveal their creative skills in the second round as much as possible. All those persons, who participate in similar projects, have a good opportunity to familiarize themselves with the company’s performance, to get employment or increase their own employment opportunities; also to receive prize money and gifts,” Kalandia said.

The jury will reveal three best teams, who will receive the prize money offered by the partner company:
I place – GEL 2 500
II place – GEL 1 500
III place – GEL 1 000

Nutsa Zhgenti, student of the TSU Faculty of Business and Economics, notes that Mission 2018 is the best opportunity for students to gain experience: “This project is a very good opportunity for students to express their ideas, to deepen knowledge and experience from practical point of view and tailor these ideas to the concept of Dirsi’s popularization.”  

56 teams from various faculties of the university took part in the student competition. The jury selected five best teams. TSU Student Competition in Marketing and PR is an annual project jointly implemented by TSU and a successful Georgian brand. Each year the competition has a new partner company and contestants create new ideas for a new partner.
