On December 27, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) hosted an Awards Evening, where the winners of student literary competition Autumn Legend were revealed. This year, Autumn Legend marked its 10th anniversary. The competition winners were awarded with special gifts and cash prizes.

“Frankly speaking, I did not expect to win the 1st place. I am so happy. I believe that Autumn Legend is one of the best literary competitions for the beginning writers,” the winner of the student competition, Tekla Eremeishvili said.
During the improvisation round, the jury members gave 10 contestants 10 archived diplomas. Based on the information provided in the diplomas, the finalists created their stories. The jury revealed three out of ten contestants. A pre-anniversary literary experiment was held in early autumn with the participation of previous winners and jury members. Two winners of the literary experiment were revealed during the awards evening – Davit Gorgiladze and Levan Gigineishvili will be awarded GEL 1000 each. All the works were included in the anniversary collection.
“The victory came as a great surprise to me, especially as I am not a professional writer. I had never participated in similar competitions before,” Levan Gigineishvili said.
The anniversary collection consists of two parts and it also includes 10 best works created during the 2018 competition. The collections were presented to the guests of the event as gifts.
