The First International Week for Administrative Staff was opened at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on April 24. Representatives from the universities of five European countries (Mykolas Romeris University; University of Jena; University of Giessen; Saarland University; European University Viadrina; University of Iasi; University of A Coruña) are participating in the event. In his video message, Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work. “Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is participating in 56 projects supported by EU’s Erasmus + programme, as well as in other exchange programs. We are also cooperating with about 200 partner universities and we hope that based on this cooperation, we will have more exchange programs in future,” Rector Sharvashidze said.
The goal of the International Week for Administrative Staff is to discuss modern challenges facing the sphere of education as well as to share experience on the issues of university internationalization and international project management. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the EU Delegation to Georgia, National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) Georgia, International Education Center and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation are also participating in the event. The event has been organized by the TSU Department of Foreign Relations.
