Georgian National Lottery Company will finance the studies of two students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University for the 2018-2019 academic year. Under the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between TSU and Georgian National Lottery Company, joint educational and social projects will be implemented. Georgian National Lottery Company selected those students of TSU as the first beneficiaries of its social project, who have high academic achievements and need financial support. The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Director of Georgian National Lottery Company, Giorgi Gedevanishvili.
Rector Sharvashidze said that Georgian National Lottery was created a century ago and 100 years later it returns back to its purpose. “Georgian National Lottery selected two students and will finance their studies. This program is being implemented in frames of social partnership. Our cooperation also envisages various activities, including internships for our students in the company.”
“Georgian National Lottery is distinguished by high social responsibility. It is symbolic for us that the first national lottery was held exactly 100 years ago and it aimed at creating the Tbilisi State University and Georgian theatre. The Memorandum, which we signed today, envisages implementation of a lot of projects with the Tbilisi State University during one year,” Tatia Topuria of Georgian National Lottery Company said.
Georgian National Lottery Company financed the studies of one MA and one PhD students. “It was a great surprise when I learnt about the decision made by Georgian National Lottery. It will finance my studies during my second year. Such support is very important for students and I would like to express my gratitude to Georgian National Lottery,” TSU student Mariam Kvavilashvili said.
