In September 2017, as part of Georgian-German Science Bridge concept, Forschungszentrum Jülich (Jülich Research Center) will host a qualified and qualification lecture course (English-language) - QUALI-Start-Up, known as “Autumn Lectures – in Tbilisi” project and representing a continuation of events held in 2013 and 2015 (
http://fz-juelich.gtu.ge/autumn-lectures/). A cycle of summer schools and workshops (GGSWBS) traditionally held in even-numbered years since 2004 serves the same purpose (
http://collaborations.fz-juelich.de/ikp/cgswhp/).
The content of this training course will be in the fields of basic science and includes lectures in: Experimental and Theoretical Physics (nuclear physics, nanotechnology, medical physics); Chemistry and Biology; Life Sciences and Health; Mathematics; Engineering Science and Technology.
Target groups of students participating in the project (BA. MA) will be selected in two stages. During the first stage, interested students submitted their CVs, motivation letters and references. This stage of competition was successfully held at the consortium member universities and 47 students were recommended for the second stage.
The final stage will be held in Tbilisi
on June 5-9, at the following Georgian universities:
June 5 – Opening (TSU, 1st Building, auditorium 107)
June 6 – Interviews with students (TSU)
June 7 - Interviews with students (GTU and Iliauni)
June 8 - Interviews with students (Agrarian University)
June 9 – Announcement of results (TSU, 1st Building, auditorium 107)
Interviews will be held by representatives of Jülich Research Center (directors of institutes) as well as academic staff of a local university.
