A new social area has been arranged at Building 10 (Maglivi) of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU). The foyer of the Maglivi Building has been equipped with modern furniture and devices. The new environment will open up new opportunities to students for reading, rest and social interaction. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Bank of Georgia. Rector of TSU, George Sharvashidze, Head of TSU Administration, Lasha Saghinadze, Dean of the TSU Faculty of Economics and Business, Giorgi Gaganidze and Bank of Georgia’s Brand Manager Aleksandre Chikobava visited the new student area on June 30.
Rector George Sharvashidze said that TSU has launched several large-scale projects. “We are getting ready for the new academic year. A lot of new student areas have been arranged at TSU. One of them is the foyer of Building 10, where an excellent environment has been arranged for students. I would like to thank the Bank of Georgia for its support. We have started renovations at many buildings, including full rehabilitation of Building 10. It is important that special attention is being paid to learning and research infrastructure,” Rector Sharvashidze noted.
Bank of Georgia’s Brand Manager, Aleksandre Chikobava said that it is important to support the initiatives that will make the learning process more pleasant and productive. “We think this place will become very popular among students,” he noted.
A new cafeteria was opened at Maglivi Building of TSU last December. The new facility serves TSU students, academics and staff at preferential prices.
Infrastructure projects are being implemented at TSU gradually. By 2023, all main educational and research buildings will be rehabilitated.
