Upon the decision of the Interagency Coordination
Council under the Prime Minister of Georgia, on-campus studies will be resumed
from the 1st of April, 2020. Until then, based on the readiness of
faculties and departments, Tbilisi State University will carry out individual
piloting of distance learning elements. From March 16, the International School
of Economics at TSU will start using synchronous and asynchronous elements of
electronic learning through zoom, smartboard and webinar. From March 23, the
following faculties will move to the elements of electronic learning: Faculty
of Exact and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social and
Political Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Faculty of
Economics and Business, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Law, as well as TSU
Center for Vocational Education.
Due to this novelty, the learning process will not
go beyond the current academic calendar, according to which lectures designed
for the academic programs will end on June 27. The evaluation system will also
be modified.
