მედიცინის ფაკულტეტზე მიმდინარეობს აშშ ჯანმრთელობის ეროვნული ინსტიტუტის (National Institutes of Health) მიერ დაფინანსებული ორი საერთაშორისო კვლევითი პროექტი: კვლევის მოცულობის გაზრდა აღმოსავლეთ ევროპაში(iCREATE: Increasing Capacity in Research in Eastern Europe)და „საერთაშორისო თანამშრომლობა ევროპაში თავის ტვინის ტრავმული დაზიანების ზედამხედველობის გაზრდის მიზნით“ (INITIatE: International Collaboration to increase Traumatic Brain Injury Surveillance in Europe). ორივე პროექტის კოორდინატორია აშშ აიოვას უნივერსიტეტი (კოორდინატორი პროფესორი კორინ პიკ-ასა) და მისი პარტნიორი უნივერსიტეტი - რუმინეთს ბაბეშ-ბოლიაის უნივერსიტეტი (კოორდინატორი მედიცინის დოქტორი დიანა დალფი). საქართველოში ორივე პროექტის კოორდინატორია მედიცინის ფაკულტეტის ასოც. პროფესორი ნინო ჩიხლაძე. კვლევითი პროექტის განხორციელებაში მონაწილოებენ მედიცინის ფაკულტეტის დოქტორანტურის და საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის სამაგისტრო პროგრამის სტუდენტები.
15-16 თებერვალს თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტში სამუშაო ვიზიტი განახორციელეს პროექტის კოორდინატორმა დიანა დალფიმ და პროექტის მონაწილემ მადალინა კომანმა. თბილისში ვიზიტის დროს შედგა სამუშაო შეხვედრები თსუ რექტორის მოადგილესთან სამეცნიერო დარგში პროფესორ ალექსანდრე ცისკარიძესთან, საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის პერსონალთან, ასოცირებულ პროფესორთან ნატა ყაზახაშვილთან, გიორგი ლობჟანიძესთან, ასევე სტუდენტებთან (ეკა ბურკაძე, სოფიო გვაზავა, ნია ხაჩიძე, გვანცა დადიანი, თეონა გოგნიაშვილი, ნინო გორაძე, თეონა მაისურაძე, ქეთევან ახობაძე, თინათინ გზირიშვილი).
განხილული იქნა სადოქტორო და სამაგისტრო ნაშრომების შერჩეული თემატიკა, კვლევის პროტოკოლები, ფინანსური ასპექტები. დიანა დალფისგან, რომელსაც პროექტის სფეროში კვლევების დიდი ხნის გამოცდილება აქვს, მიღებული იქნა მეტად მნიშვნელოვანი რეკომენდაციები, დაიგეგმა სტუდენტთა და აკადემიური პერსონალის მობილობა გაზაფხულის სემესტრში.
Visit within the framework of nternational Research Projects
Currently two international research projects funded by US National Institutes of Health are in place at the Faculty of Medicine: ,,iCREATE: Increasing Capacity in Research in Eastern Europe’’ and ,,INITIatE: International Collaboration to increase Traumatic Brain Injury Surveillance in Europe’’. Both projects are coordinated by US University of Iowa (coordinator Prof. Corrine Peek-Asa) and its partner university – Romanian Babes-Bolyai University (coordinator MD Diana Dulf). In Georgia both projects are coordinated by Assoc. Professor Nino Chikhladze. PhD and Public Health Master’s students of Faculty of Medicine are participating in the research projects.
On February 15th and 16thwithin the framework of the TSU Medical Faculty Fogarty funded International projects "Increasing Capacity in Research in Eastern Europe (iCREATE)" anInternational Collaboration to increase Traumatic Brain Injury Surveillance in Europe (INITIatE)a working visit was carried out by project coordinator Dr. Diana Dulfand project participant Madalina Coman in Tbilisi State University. During the visit meetings were carried out with TSU Deputy Rector in the field of Science–Professor Alexander Tsiskaridze, Associate Professor NataKazakhashvili, Giorgi Lobzhanidze, and PhD and master program students (EkaBurkadze, SophioGvazava, Nia Khachidze, GvantsaDadiani, TeonaGogniashvili, Nino Gorgadze, Tamar maisuradze,KetevanAkhobadze, TinatinGzirishvili).
During the meeting, financial issues, the research topics, protocols, as well as planned mobility for the spring semester had been discussed.Very important recommendations were received from Diana Dulfwho has long-term experience in project fields. The major goal of the project is to carry out research activities directed towards the injury and violence reduction.
