A ceremony of awarding honorary doctorate to Prof. Sławomir Partycki from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on February 25.

Rector of TSU, Academician Vladimer Papava, Georgian Finance Minister, Nodar Khaduri, professors and students attended the event.

“Today we have awarded honorary doctorate to a very famous Polish economist and sociologist, Sławomir Partycki. He is a prominent research scientist and has made a huge contribution to supporting Georgian economists and sociologists. Just therefore, our university made a decision to award honorary doctorate to him,” Rector Papava said.

“This day is very important for me, because I have been awarded honorary doctorate of the Tbilisi State University. TSU and the Catholic University of Lublin have been cooperating for a long time and I am sure that these relations will continue in future,” Prof. Sławomir Partycki said.

By decree of the TSU Academic Council, honorary doctorate was awarded to Prof. Partycki for his active cooperation with TSU, special contribution to internationalization and development of scientific relations.

By the end of the event Prof. Partycki read a paper on a topic “Network – Colonization of Digital World.”
